Axson

Meet David A. J. Axson

Englishman Amazed by Many of  His  Experiences in the United States

David Axson was in turns stunned, bewildered, amused, impressed and thrilled by what he found when he first arrived in America, from Disneyland and the Grand Canyon, to Death Valley and the Spruce Goose aircraft. He liked it all well enough to decide to move here, and later to become a permanent resident and finally, a citizen.
Axson’s refreshing insights, mordant criticisms and just plain awestruck wonder at what he and his family encounter, vividly illuminate the book. His impressions serve to hold the “mirror of reality” to the American reader’s face. The how and why of Axson’s decision to stay, and ultimately settle in America, made with “eyes wide open,” are food for thought for each of us.
The author first visited the U.S. in 1988, moved to Ohio in 1991, and became a U.S. citizen in 2004. In real life he is a business consultant, with a number of published business books to his credit. He lives with his wife and two children in Bath, Ohio.Half theWorld Away
